Hello beautiful people! My name is Ace. I have been a certified personal trainer for 2 years now, but the gym has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I started my fitness journey when I was introduced to the sport of boxing at the age of 12. The passion for the sport taught me a lot of disciplines that I still find myself using to this day. That same passion has carried over to helping others find happiness in life and feeling good about themselves. I am a strong believer that when you feel good you naturally excel. I understand the difficulty of not wanting to train, but still finding the motivation to push through and getting the job done. Achieving a goal never happens over night, there are times when doubt sets in, and the finish line looks farther and farther away. With this in mind, I personally try and make each workout as entertaining, fun and cooperative as possible. Instead of the gym feeling like a chore it becomes something you look forward to. My ultimate goal as a trainer, is to equip the people I train with the tools and motivation they need to one day continue their fitness journey without me and live a fulfilling life.

Prior to Self Made, I was a personal trainer at Crunch Fitness where I decided to take a leap of faith to take the private trainer route, now I'm here. I first started weight training at 13 years old, but a true passion for fitness didn't arise till I was 21. In the Fall '19 semester at Cal Poly Pomona, I decided I wanted to make a change for myself and so I started working out again. I wasn't working out on a daily basis, however. Like many people out there, I decided to turn things around on January 1st. At the start of 2020, I made a resolution that I'd work out consistently. From that point on, there was no turning back.I am a graduate from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. I went to school envisioning myself pursuing a career in the marketing field upon graduation. After graduating, I took a year off to decide what it was that I truly wanted to do. I have a true passion for fitness and helping others, so becoming a personal trainer sounded like the perfect fit. The spark inside me arose when I would be approached at the gym by people asking if I was a trainer and wanting advice from me. I decided to get a training certificate and now here I am.I always wanted to be able to help change lives and what better way than through fitness. My goal is to help others learn the basic fundamentals of exercise and how to train properly in order to avoid injury, but also to gain muscle while losing fat simultaneously. Being in the gym and working out was always about being healthy, looking good, and overall just feeling better about myself and gaining confidence. I want to be able to help others regain confidence and become the best version of themselves possible like I did myself.Work hard, be consistent, and stay disciplined.
